RUMOR: Doctor Strange 2 Looking For Hispanic Teen Actress…Could It Be America Chavez?

Gomez talks landing America Chavez

With Steve Rogers no longer in the MCU, the world needs another American hero. I mean, yes, Sam Wilson is taking on the role of Captain America, but let’s ignore that for the time being since it doesn’t support my narrative. Point is, what better American hero can you have than a character whose name is actually America? Young Avengers fans know who I’m talking about: America Chavez.

In the past, the MCU has done a great job of weaving in superheroes into other main entries. That’s how we were introduced to Black Widow, Hawkeye, Black Panther, and even Spider-Man. If history is any indication, they’ll be continuing that strategy for other heroes as well.

So, where am I going with all this? Well, the folks over at The Illuminerdi claim to have received casting notes for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and they state that the studio put out a casting call for a teen Hispanic actress. An actress who would act as a supporting lead in the movie.

To be clear, that’s the only thing they claim as a fact. The idea of that actress portraying America Chavez is complete speculation, as they claim there are few characters who fit that description. That being said, who knows? It’s not like the MCU hasn’t made up characters in the past. But paired with another rumor surrounding Hulkling showing up in WandaVision, it does seem like the stage is being set for a Young Avengers team.

But what do you think of all this? Does any of it sound plausible to you? Let us know your thoughts in the comments down below!
