Earlier this week we received news sthat Jared Leto would be returning to play the Joker in Zack Snyder’s Justice League which is set to air next year of HBO Max. Today brings another addition to the cast. According to Collider Joe Manganiello will play the villain Slade Wilson, also known as Deathstroke. Manganiello briefly appeared in Justice League in a post-credits scene. He joins Ray Fisher, Amber Heard, and Ben Affleck, who will be returning to shoot new scenes.
Collider spoke with Manganiello earlier this month and asked him his involvement in the ‘Snyder Cut.’ The actor didn’t clarify one way or the other as you can see below.
“If I was a part of it, that wouldn’t be my place to announce that. That would be Zack’s place. So, whether or not that’s happening, that is an answer that is below my NDA level, or whatever you wanna call it.”

With the above actors returning for additional filming, and Manganiello reportedly rocking Deathstroke’s haircut, there’s a pretty good chance that this will turn out to be true. However, as always we must wait for official confirmation. Zack Snyder’s Justice League is set to air in four parts, with each having an hour-long runtime.
While I don’t know what Snyder has planned, with Deathstroke only appearing in a short scene, I fear he may be trying to put too much into the project. This cut of the film is a special opportunity for the director to right what he feels were wrongs, and I just hope he doesn’t get carried away.
