Shazam! Fury of the Gods Reportedly Adds Three Sisters To The Cast

After the big shake up at DC Studios, Zachary Levi gives an update on his DCU status going forward.

Alright, the scoop is the interesting additions to the cast of Shazam! Fury of the Gods, the upcoming sequel to the film that showed the lighter side of DC.

The new additions are three sisters. The casting sheet is quite specific for each sister. First, the big sister is between ages 50 and 60, and actress Helen Mirren is listed as ideal for the part. The middle sister is an ‘established adult’ with Halle Berry and Eva Green in mind. The youngest of the siblings is age 17, with Zendaya in mind. Now I doubt these are the actresses they’re actually wanting to cast, just an idea of what they’re looking for.

Not being super knowledgeable with the comics, I really couldn’t even speculate what known characters the sisters could be. What I do know is the first film was a fresh of breath air. As I said above it was great to see the fun side of DC. I thought Zachary Levi was great as Shazam! Along with other big DC films, Shazam! Fury of the Gods recently had its release date pushed back and it currently sets at June 2, 2023.
