Rumor: Marvel Actively Developing Power Pack, But Is It A Movie Or A TV Show?

We still only vaguely have an idea of what to expect next from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, though we do expect the next few years to be firmed up and announced before the end of summer. Whilst it’s likely we won’t have too many surprises you just never truly know until they announce something?

Today we are sharing a rumor from MCU Cosmic that Marvel are actively developing Power Pack into a project. Now what is not clear, is whether this is a movie, or a TV show that could run on the new Disney + service. Considering what we know about the movies currently in the pipeline, I have to say I’d guess that this would fit best as a Disney + show rather than a film, which the outlet themselves also theorise.

Power Pack revolves around a family of kids with superpowers and based on the comic origins would be something more squarely aimed at younger kids as opposed to the normal catch-all approach of the MCU in theaters. All Marvel movies tend to fit within that PG-13 bracket thus far, and such it is my theory that something definitely more in the PG category would fit best on Disney +.

We also know that Kevin Feige likes the idea of Power Pack and even mentioned how much he likes them during last year’s promotional trail for Avengers: Infinity War, though at that time Disney + hadn’t been announced and Feige cited the Ant-Man movies as those more designed for younger audiences.

We could potentially see a lot of ideas which were rejected for the movie world reappearing in a long form manner on Disney + as time goes on. In fact something that could potentially spawn multiple seasons and grow up with the characters like Power Pack could be perfect for the streaming service.
