According to sources of The Illuminerdi, work on a project that will finally bring the long-estranged X-Men into the Marvel Cinematic Universe has begun. The rumor says the film titled, The Mutants, will be the X-Men reboot we’ve all been waiting for.

It’s safe to assume Kevin Feige and his team have been hard at work on how to bring the X-Men into the MCU. Though we are yet to have official word on the Mutant superheroes come down. Not long ago, Feige gave fans confirmation on a third Deadpool film. Which will be both R-rated and part of the MCU. We also learned that the Fantastic Four were officially on their way.

Disney reacquired the rights to the X-Men and the Fantastic Four a couple of years ago when they purchased Fox. Because what the Mouse wants, the Mouse gets. The MCU is a crowning achievement of cinema. However, there has always been a small piece of it that felt empty. That emptiness can now be filled. And while Marvel has been in no hurry to do so, if this rumor turns out to be true, it looks like the MCU will soon be whole.

Plenty of exciting television shows and movies are headed our way fellow Marvel fans  And Phase 4 just might be the best yet.
