Rumor: Marvel Looking At Actor David Morrissey For The MCU?

Marvel Studios are currently hard at work mapping out the next phase of the MCU after the first decade of movies ends with Spider-Man: Far From Home, the final movie in Phase 3 and final movie in the Infinity Saga.

We know a little about what comes next for the MCU, but not a great deal, and certainly less when it comes to the casting of roles. According to Roger Wardell on social media, one of the actors Marvel are hoping to sign up is David Morrissey. Wardell got quite a few details of both Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame correct, long before the movies were released, so whilst this is a rumor, it’s one worth taking notice of. Check it out.

Morrissey will probably be most familiar to audiences in the US through his role as The Governor on The Walking Dead, a show I’ve never watched. However Morrissey has been appearing on UK TV shows for well over a decade and I’ve seen him perform well with some parts, and not so well on others.

In terms of who they could be looking at Morrissey for, your guess is as good as anyone else’s right now? I can think of many currently unfilled roles that Morrissey could be a fit for, probably far too many to bother mentioning any of them specifically. In fact it would probably be nothing more than a wish-list of characters I hope to see in the MCU at some point.

Do you think Morrissey is perfectly suited to any currently uncast roles in the future of the MCU, am I the only one hoping for Norman Osbourne? Pitch your suggestions to the rest of the fanboy squad in the usual spot below.
