RUMOR: Marvel Wants To Make NINE Spider-Man Movies?

It goes without saying that Spider-Man has been very successful in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The character had a memorable introduction in Captain America: Civil War, a wonderful follow-up in Spider-Man: Homecoming, and solid roles in the two Avengers films. Now, his latest, Spider-Man: Far From Home is already getting positive buzz from people online, really hinting at a continued fruitful relationship between Marvel Studios and Sony.

But just how long can this relationship last? Sony is already profiting off of other Spider-Men-centric characters like Venom (with a Morbius film already on the way), and with Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse getting critical acclaim, one can’t help but wonder if Sony is trying to prove their worth outside of their relationship with Marvel Studios.

According to We Got This Covered, however, that may not be the truth. According to them, Marvel Studios plans on having NINE standalone Spider-Man movies: three in high school, three in college, and three in adulthood. That means we’d have seven more movies to get through, with there being a near endless list of possibilities for hero team-ups, as well as a way to build up to the eventual Sinister Six film without it feeling rushed.

It’s definitely a cool idea…but is it true? I have my doubts. But what do you think? Let us know your thoughts down below!
