RUMOR: Once Upon A Time In Hollywood May Be Getting An Extended Miniseries Cut On Netflix

Unbelievable. Who would’ve thought that the master of the film medium (and by “film” I mean PHYSICAL film) would be getting so buddy-buddy with Netflix. If you’ll recall, a few months back, Quentin Tarantino’s The Hateful Eight popped onto Netflix…but instead of being in traditional film form, it was in a weird, random, extended miniseries form.

At first, I thought this was something put together by some studio or Netflix through some contractual jury-rigging, but as it turned out, Tarantino himself had a hand in compiling that special cut, opting to give viewers a unique experience.

Now, it sounds like we may be getting something similar with One Upon a Time in Hollywood. According to NY Times writer Kyle Buchanan, Tarantino supposedly has plans to release his latest opus in a similar recut miniseries fashion.

So, if you were sad to hear that the current two-hours-and-forty-minute cut had to chop a lot of actor-favorite scenes, it’s possible we may one day see those scenes!
