Spider-Man: Far From Home hasn’t hit theaters yet, but of course we are already talking about possibilities for the third installment. While the idea of Deadpool being involved has recently been debunked (unfortunately) Twitter user Roger Wardell has suggested Sony is pushing for the inclusion of another fan favorite:
There are no plans to add Deadpool in an MCU Spider-Man 3, but Sony desperately wants Tom Hardy’s Venom in this movie. Deadpool had his own movies but never showed up in the main X-Men films, it will be the same for the MCU.

Of course, this should be taken with a grain of salt, but Wardell has been spot on with previous random MCU predictions. I know some people were torn with the Venom movie, but I have to admit that I thought it was enjoyable. That plus Tom Hardy is awesome! I felt the film did a good job of showing the connection between the symbiote and Eddie. That film, plus the multiple times we have seen the newest version of Spidey, has developed the characters enough to have them clash without having to dive into rushed backstories.
I think the majority wants to see the clash of these two titans, and we deserve something new to wash our minds of the Spider-Man 3 interpretation, don’t you think? Well, maybe we don’t deserve it, but I am assuming the majority of us want it.

What do you think of the rumor? Does it carry any weight? Would you rather see Deadpool in a film with Spidey over Venom? Also, Hardy’s Venom was depicted more as an anti-hero than a villain, so how do you think this interpretation would look going up against Spidey? Leave your thoughts in the usual spot, and thanks for reading!
