Today on the Barside Buzz we are sharing some rumored Daredevil: Born Again Part 1 details. As you are likely aware, Daredevil: Born Again is 18 Episodes in length. However, recent rumors all point to the series being split into Part 1 and Part 2. These latest rumored details come from Murphy’s Multiverse. I won’t copy the full explanations and theories for the first section, just the details themselves. For the full angle from Murphy’s own words, check the link above. First of Murphy confirms rumors that neither Foggy or Karen are set to appear in the series cast. Though, he does stress this could change in Part 2 reshoots, once the strike ends. However, the absence of Foggy and Karen is apparently a key plot point from Part 1. One thing Murphy does say is that it is possible Elden Henson filmed some scenes for a flashback to explain why he’s not around. However, that appears to be something he hasn’t confirmed. It definitely would be fair to say Henson isn’t really in the cast of the show though.
Murphy also says that despite some rumors, Born Again is not set during the Blip. Though, there could be flashbacks which go back to that period, the show is set now in the MCU.
We know that set photos have confirmed rumors that Wilson Fisk will be running for Mayor in Born Again. However, Murphy says he’s heard the rumor that Fisk has an anti-vigilante agenda is true.

“But what about the rumored anti-vigilante agenda? It’s absolutely true and as we understand it, one of Matt’s big trials is connected to it. We’ve heard that Fisk will publicly go after a handful of costumed heroes including Daredevil, Punisher, one being defended by Matt…and masked menace known as Spider-Man.”
Murphy also adds some weight to the rumors of what Punisher (Jon Bernthal) is up to in the show.
“However, the character’s return immediately became steeped in controversy when it was rumored that it would feature the character taking on–and taking out–a group of racist cops who have misappropriated his logo. It ain’t gonna be pretty, folks, but it is in the cards.”
As for Matt’s love life, here is what Murphy was able to corroborate with regards to the online rumors.
“With Karen Page out of the picture and no sign of Elektra, rumors have not one but two of Matt’s comic book flames set for Born Again in Heather Glenn and Kirsten McDuffie and we’ve heard the same. Margarita Levieva is set to play party girl Heather Glenn while Nikki M. James will portray Kirsten McDuffie. In the comics, McDuffie’s relationship with Matthew was a bit of a slow burn while Glenn’s was a bit more short-lived. That’s probably why James’ contract came with options while Levieva signed a one season deal.”
As said in the title, these rumors for now seem to be set around Part 1 of Daredevil: Born Again. Given that production was stopped on the series due to the strikes, I guess there is a lot of details the insiders just don’t have yet. Expect more rumors when filming commences.
