So what are the rumored Marvel announcements at D23 this weekend? According to DisInsider, they claim a few announcement are certain to happen. So which ones? In their latest show the presenters talked about various unconfirmed rumors, but there was a few they aware adamant would definitely happen. Weirdly they didn’t say the Fantastic Four cast announcement would definitely happen, though others have said this is likely. What they were certain about then?
A Deadpool 3 title announcement, a Secret Invasion trailer and a first look at Echo. Additionally casting for Nova (would also be announcement as it’s not official yet) and confirmation that Eternals 2 is in development.
As said, the outlet appear really confident on these specific items, whereas they were less confident of some other non-Marvel D23 rumors. We know Deadpool 3 is definitely happening, so a title announcement makes sense at this point. Secret Invasion is the next Marvel Disney+ show to hit after Echo. Therefore a trailer, or teaser for Secret Invasion and a bit more for Echo seems very reasonable. I guess Eternals 2 may surprise some considering the first Eternals movie wasn’t a smash hit with critics or fans. However I always felt it was highly likely that we would get a sequel. Personally I’d love to see a cosmic tale given the post credit scene of the first movie.
If we do get all of this, plus the rumored Fantastic Four casting, then Marvel fans are eating good this weekend. As for when we can expect any of this, I’ve no idea? The current schedules for D23 seem to have missing slots and none of them mention the MCU. As for Star Wars fans? I have a feeling it’s going be another dry weekend. At most I think we may get some more promo for Andor. However there has been zero rumors about anything else happening Star Wars wise at D23 this weekend. Therefore, I guess anything we do get will be a pleasant surprise.
