Jodie Comer Tipped For Sue Storm Announcement At D23 This Weekend | Barside Buzz

According to the latest Barside Buzz, Jodie Comer is heavily tipped to be announced as Sue Storm in Fantastic Four this weekend at D23.

According to the latest Barside Buzz, Jodie Comer is heavily tipped to be announced as Sue Storm this weekend at D23 for Fantastic Four. This is not the first time Comer has been linked with Fantastic Four. We recently shared a rumor of various high profile names that are tipped to be announced or Marvel projects (see related link below). One of them was Comer and the buzz was for Sue. However yesterday industry insider John Campea heavily tipped Comer as Sue being announced this weekend on his latest show.

Campea in the video below explains the process by which he has come to this prediction. Essentially John says he has now heard Comer for Sue from two completely different sources. In addition, another industry insider he spoke to had received the same information. Campea isn’t saying this means it’s 100% a done deal. What he is saying is that if he had to make a bet, he bets Comer gets announced this weekend. Check it out below. However he does warn all his viewers to not take this as fact and go to their local bookkeeper for a price.

Now as said previously this would hardly be the first time I have heard Comer’s name attached to Sue. There have been rumblings now for a few weeks. However you’ll also be likely aware that these rumors don’t always pan out. It is thought the entire cast of Fantastic Four will be announced this weekend alongside Matt Shakman as director, something the trades have confirmed.

Fantastic Four

As for the other three, I don’t have much to tell you. Sadly it’s not those guys above. Jason Segel was rumored for Ben Grimm for a long time, but again, never anything slid like a trade, just some general buzz. As for Reed, honestly, I think it’s going to be the obvious and be John Krasinski reprising his Multiverse role from the Doctor Strange sequel. I have no evidence to back that up, I’ll just be surprised if it’s not Krasinski at this point.

Lastly, Johnny Storm, and I can honestly say I’ve not heard a single rumor so far around casting for Johnny that was even worth sharing with our readers. Have I heard names, yes, but from new, unverified sources. One name I heard was Ross Lynch, who has been starring in Disney Channel content since he was a boy. However, as said, don’t think of that as anything more than wild rumor for now. Nothing solid from trusted outlets or sources around Johnny.

I do however think that with Shakman now on board and these rumors Comer will be announced, that we will get the cast this weekend. I could be wrong, of course, but at least we won’t have long to find out? If Jodie Comer is Sue Storm, then I have to say this is fantastic casting. I have only been Comer in her starring (award winning) role within Killing Eve. I’m not really a fan of the show as such, as I never watched from the beginning. However I have seen a few episodes out of sequence and it’s obvious Comer is electric.

With Jodie Comer heavily tipped to be announced as Sue Storm this weekend at D23, what do you think? Who else would you want to see cast as the Fantastic Four? Who would you hate to see given one of the roles? As always, leave any thoughts below.
