If you’re like us, you had no idea that One Direction had a singer named Zayn Malik, and therefore had no idea that Malik had a birthday hit just a few days ago on January 12. You also may not be sure just how in the hell this piece of information is relevant to you in any way, shape, or form. Well, you can thank Mr. Ryan Reynolds, of Deadpool fame.

Malik shared a video of Reynolds as Deadpool, wishing him a happy birthday, and as you’d expect, it’s pretty hilarious.

In the video, here’s what Deadpool had to say after his initial happy birthday wishes.

“I also want to apologize for jumping out of the cake like that. I didn’t realize it was the middle of the night, I had no idea I was in the middle of your bedroom. Uh… I want to thank your security, who were very, very gentle and creative with the taser.”

Reynolds continues to dominate with the overbearing personality of Wade Wilson in these online videos, and this only gets us all the more excited for the viral marketing we can expect for the upcoming movie.

Below is the synopsis for Deadpool 2:

“After surviving a near fatal bovine attack, a disfigured cafeteria chef (Wade Wilson) struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Mayberry’s hottest bartender while also learning to cope with his lost sense of taste. Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, the yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and flavor – finding a new taste for adventure and earning the coveted coffee mug title of World’s Best Lover.”
