Ryan Reynolds Says Hugh Jackman Is The ‘Speedbump’ In The Deadpool/Wolverine Crossover

Will Ryan Reynolds ever convince Hugh Jackman to return as Wolverine?

I am a firm believer that one day, Reynolds’ incessant invitations will eventually wear Hugh Jackman down, and he will reprise Wolverine in a crossover with Deadpool. Reynolds spoke to Variety on the red carpet at the Deadpool 2 premiere and said the hold up isn’t on his end, it’s all Hugh Jackman.

“You know, that’s a, that’s a long-standing dream of mine, but you know, sadly it’s Hugh Jackman that’s the skin-covered speedbump on the road to that sort of happiness. We’ll see. You know, he hung it up, so we’ll see.”

While many fans would enjoy seeing these two characters in a crossover, as time goes on, it seems less and less likely to actually happen. Recently, Jackman appeared on Good Morning America and told Ryan/Deadpool that maybe they should play hard to get, and are coming on a bit strong. Jackman doesn’t seem to have budged on his stance that he is done playing Wolverine, but if anyone can annoy him into playing the character once again, it’s gotta be Deadpool, right?

Should Ryan Reynolds keep pushing the issue, or admit defeat and move on? Let us know your thoughts in the comments down below!
