S. Preston loves sports and Bugs Bunny. So when the opportunity arises to merge these two worlds—he created a minimalist art series of Bugs Bunny and baseball. It was just in time to celebrate Bugs Bunny’s eightieth birthday this week.
In his latest artwork series titled, “Minimalist Baseball Bugs,” it features Bugs Bunny in limited edition variants for all Major League Baseball teams.
Preston is a renowned minimalist sports artist. His artwork covered beautiful adaptations and views of the sports world, including stadiums, mascots, and sports trophies. The artwork collection even has expanded into pop culture with Star Wars.
LRM Online spoke with S. Preston exclusively in a Zoom video call. We discussed his love for Looney Tunes and baseball. Also, we talked about other future Looney Tunes characters in sports for future art series. There’s even a sneak peek on the artwork of his next project in the video interview.
