Multiverse of Madness director Sam Raimi interested in more Spider-Man movies with Tobey Maguire. However he says he currently has no idea whether anyone wants that, nor does he actually have any ideas of what that would be? Raimi had an extensive interview with Fandango about Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. It was a lot of questions, so I will try to cover the most importnat details in smaller stories today. However if you want to read the full interview, click on the link to go to the source site.
One question Raimi was asked, was whether he would be interested in making more Spider-Man movies with Tobey Maguire, now that the Multiverse has been established in the MCU?
“I’ve come to realize after making Doctor Strange that anything is possible, really anything in the Marvel universe, any team-ups. I love Tobey, I love Kirsten Dunst, I think all things are possible, I don’t really have a story or a plan, I don’t know if Marvel would be interested in that right now, I don’t know what their thoughts are about that? I haven’t really pursued that. But it sounds beautiful. Even if it wasn’t a Spider-Man movie, I’d love to work with Tobey again, in a different role.”
Asked if he would make another MCU movie? Raimi said,
“Absolutely. It’s like the world’s best toy box to be able to play at Marvel. I’d love to come back and tell another tale, especially with the great management they’ve got there.”

As said above there is some more news from this interview coming later today. In the meantime, with regards to more Spider-Man movies, I’m personally not that excited by it. I seem to be one of the few Spider-Man comic fans that did not like those original Raimi Spider-Man movies all that much. Would I watch a Spider-Man 4 if it got off the ground led by Marvel Studios? Yes, but ask me whether I feel the same if it’s led by Sony Pictures? Well, it’s not the same answer.
Multiverse of Madness director Sam Raimi interested in more Spider-Man movies with Tobey Maguire. However that doesn’t mean such an eventuality has actually truly crossed his mind yet. Importantly, it’s also not something he is out there trying to make happen. But you never know?
