Scarlett Johansson And Adam Driver Get Divorced In Two Marriage Story Trailers

While there are movies in countless different genres with countless different times, a good many of them do come back to one thing: relationships. Relationships are what bind us together as people and are often at the core of every story being told, be they the latest Marvel movie or some arthouse picture, and in the latest romantic offering from Netflix, Marriage, it is placed front-and-center.

The film looks to be something of a chronicle of the rise and deterioration of a marriage that ultimately ends in divorce. Netflix released two mirroring trailers, each of which has one respective partner talk about what they love most about the other, and they both end with the same scene, which is a cool little trick.

Below is the official synopsis for Marriage Story:

“An incisive and compassionate portrait of a marriage breaking up and a family staying together. From Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Noah Baumbach and starring Scarlett Johansson, Adam Driver, Laura Dern, Alan Alda and Ray Liotta.”

It’s unclear if the structure will be one that starts out in the courtroom and flashes back to the past, Slumdog Millionaire style, or if it will even extend beyond that, as they try to piece their lives together after having been divorced. However, because it’s Netflix, it’ll be out soon — this fall, in fact.
