According to several trades MCU star Sebastian Stan is in final talks to play a major role in The Batman Part II starring Robert Pattinson. Additionally, one of the trades indicates that Barry Keoghan will also return to reprise his brief role as the Joker.
We also have solid rumors about which role Stan will be playing. However first, this is from Deadline,
‘After landing Scarlett Johansson for a new role in The Batman Part II, director Matt Reeves looks to have snagged one of her Avengers co-stars for another new role in the upcoming sequel. Sources tell Deadline Sebastian Stan is in talks to join the highly-anticipated DC Studios sequel in a role which is unknown. If a deal closes, he would join Robert Pattinson, who is set to reprise his role as the Caped Crusader in the upcoming sequel that Reeves is writing and directing.’

Variety picked up the story also, but added this line.
‘Barry Keoghan is also expected to appear once more as the Joker.’
So, ScarJo’s role remains unknown for now, but we do have a rumor on that in the link above. So who is Stan playing?
Well according to a reliable insider, Stan is playing Harvey Dent in The Batman Part II.

Unsure of the Keoghan post from Sneider is due to the Variety article or he’s backing that, but either way, figured I’d include it.
So, Harvey Dent, will his Two Face turn happen in this film, or the trilogy capper Reeves wants to make next? I guess we will have to wait and find out.
