Today we share both Secret Invasion and Moon Knight casting rumors from two different sources. Let us start off with,

Secret Invasion

The Illuminerdi are reporting that True Detective star Carmen Ejogo is in advanced talks to appear in Secret Invasion. According to the outlet, Marvel Studios is currently looking for a Black or Asian female lead in the 45-70 year age range for the Secret Invasion series coming to Disney+ in 2022. She is said to be from the same world as Sam Jackson’s Nick Fury, described as a powerful leader with a “spy” feel. The outlet’s sources tell them Ejogo is in advance talks for this role specifically.

I’m guessing this will be for a more minor role since so many big hitters have been cast already. Including Olivia Coleman and Emilia Clarke. Though, this show does feel like a very ensemble cast rather than a star vehicle, which sounds cool to me.

Moon Knight

Additionally we have a report from The Ronin on Moon Knight. Whilst this one is not confirmed by a long shot they’ve heard some casting rumblings. Check out what they had to say below.

The Ronin is hearing that Arab-European actress Dina Shihabi is potentially up for an undisclosed role in Marvel’s Moon Knight series led by Oscar Isaac as Marc Spector. Shihabi’s credits are mostly from the world of television appearing on Amazon’s Jack Ryan series, Season 2 of the Netflix cyberpunk series Altered Carbon, Netflix’s Daredevil series as Neda Kazemi, the Hulu comedy series Ramy, and recently wrapped on the Netflix series Archive 81 produced by James Wan’s Atomic Monster. 

However, we weren’t able to confirm if the actress has signed on or what the character might be.

I guess we shall have to keep an eye on this one. Oh, and for anyone thinking this cannot happen because Shihabi was in Daredevil? Quite clearly now those Netflix shows are not MCU canon, meaning any of the actors who appears could play different roles within the MCU proper.
