Recently, Kevin Smith inked the deal with Netflix to continue his View Askew Universe with his next project, Jay And Silent Bob Reboot. The latest project continues in the same world Smith conjured up back in 1994 with his debut film, Clerks. As a sequel to 2001’s Jay And Silent Bob Strike Back, the film looks to pick apart the reboot happy culture Hollywood is currently in. Additionally, there is now confirmation of another cast member of the previous film returning to this universe.

Shannon Elizabeth, who played Justice in Jay And Silent Bob Strike Back, has joined the cast of Jay And Silent Bob Reboot. The news comes via Kevin Smith’s Instagram account:

“And Justice for all! It didn’t feel like a true sequel until Shannon Elizabeth stepped on the set of Jay and Silent Bob Reboot. But it’s almost like she stepped out of a box that was sealed when we wrapped #JayAndSilentBobStrikeBack because Shannon hasn’t aged at all! Time marches on, and it’s marched all over my face and Jay’s face, but not Shannon’s! The love of Jay’s life returns to kick our primary plot into gear, and Shannon returned to us from #Africa, where she’s been living lately, working to save elephants and rhinos with her Shannon Elizabeth Foundation! There is no word yet as to whether Ali Larter, Eliza Dushku and Jennifer Schwalbach Smith (Smith’s wife), who were partnered with Elizabeth in the previous film, will return to reprise their roles. We’ll have to wait and see if those three and the many other stars that appeared in Jay And Silent Bob Strike Back will return for the reboot. The project is currently in production and has yet to receive a release date.
