It looks like Sharon Carter’s on the run in Falcon and The Winter Soldier. How and why Carter is on the run is unknown, however new merchandise from Falcon and The Winter Soldier shows us that she is wanted. As you can see from the bottom left image, there is a (sticker?) showing Carter with a wanted symbol over her face. We also know for sure this is Carter because the outfit image matches perfectly with the card below it. Is Carter on the run with Sam and Bucky, or independent of those two? That’s hard to say, and in a long form story such as this, the Carter on the run plot could be a small component. It also seems like Black Widow will begin with Nat on the run from General Ross. The difference is that Black Widow is set straight after Civil War when Nat was a fugitive. Whereas, Falcon and The Winter Soldier is set post-Endgame when the likes of Sam and Bucky are returning heroes.

The rest of the merch isn’t of much interest in terms of news. Perhaps the tagline of ‘who will wield the shield?’ could be considered a clue? However, given the amount of BTS footage we have seen already it’s clear that this story will focus on who becomes the next Captain America. Cap himself chose Sam, but it appears the U.S. Government, (or some off-shoot) has chosen John Walker, aka U.S. Agent. Given what we have seen of Walker’s fighting style, as well as his comic background, we don’t think it’ll be him. I am imagine Falcon and The Winter Soldier will be about Sam taking on the mantle of Captain America.
My only hope is that somehow Sam ends up with some Super Soldier Serum, to give him powers. It’s fine that Sam is the right man for the job, but he has a lack of any super powers at this time. Sharon Carter’s on the run, what do you think of this detail? Leave it below in the usual spot.
