With Shazam! heading towards its production in February, it’s a film that will fill the pages of the internet very soon. Director David F. Sandberg has promised that, despite his most recent film, Lights Out, being a taut and tense horror film, Shazam will be in keeping with what we’d expect from a wish-fulfillment story.

Sandberg has already taken to social media to share what audiences should be reading in preparation for the lighthearted superhero film, and now he’s gone to Instagram to show some of his Christmas haul — and it’s fittingly Shazam-themed in nature.

Of course, on the right, we have a Shazam LEGO figure (though he has a surprisingly stern face, considering the character), as well as a View-Master with some obligatory Shazam slides ready for consumption.

While the actual toys here show no extra insight into what we can expect from the movie, Sandberg’s comment that “It’s Shazam all the time in this house” is a telling one, and really shows how much he’s embracing taking on this new, high-potential character. I personally can’t help but feel the slightest bit excited based on his enthusiasm alone.
