Clearly, we are in the era of “different” kinds of superheroes. The likes of Deadpool made that very obvious, and in a world where even the Justice League can’t guarantee box office success, DC is opting to capitalize on the unique nature of their lesser-known superheroes. I am, of course, referring to next year’s Shazam!, which stars Zachary Levi and is directed by David F. Sandberg.

Unlike the other superheroes we’ve seen in the DCEU so far, Shazam! is very much a child wish fulfillment story — one that could very well pull from the spirit of the movie Big. It tells the tale of a boy who gets the ability to transform into the all-power Shazam, a buff, Superman-esque hero (at least in appearance).

About a week ago, star Zachary Levi shared a taste of the first poster, and in it, we got a chance to see what the tone of the film will be like.

In the days since this poster reveal, audiences have been taking Shazam and inserting him into random events. Now, director David F. Sandberg shared a video of his own making.

Check it below:

As you can see, in the video, we get a shot from the iconic Batman v Superman montage scene. There we see the stranded survivors of a flood standing on their roofs, but instead of the expected Man of Steel, we get Shazam, sipping his coke, and just taking in the scenery.

What do you think of everybody making their own Shazam! posters? Does this get you any more excited for the actual film? Let us know your thoughts down below!
