Marvel’s phase 4 is continuing to progress, much to the delight of fans! The release of the new phase to include streaming platforms is met with excitement for many fans. Wandavison has made its way to Disney+. This has left fans looking forward to other releases coming down the pipeline. While it is not expected to hit in 2021, we have been receiving exciting, yet limited, casting news from shows such as She-Hulk. Ginger Gonzaga (Kidding, Mixology, Space Force) is the most recent name to be added to the list.
I have stated before that She-Hulk is a series I am absolutely looking forward to. We know that Tatiana Maslany will play Jennifer Walters, attorney who will hulk out. Ginger Gonzaga will join the cast as Walters’ best friend. As with most of the characters, the show is keeping information tight-lipped. We do not know know anything about Gonzaga’s character. This is similar to the rumored possible villain of Lucy who could be Titania or Ultima.
What we do know is that Mark Ruffalo will make appearances as Walters’ cousin, Bruce Banner/Hulk. I am assuming he will help guide her with her knew powers. Another exciting individual is Tim Roth who will be reprising his role as Emil Blonsky/Abomination from 2008’s The Incredible Hulk. Say what you will, I found the film entertaining, although I wanted Abomination to have his ears from the comics. May seem trivial, but it’s the same way I wanted Doomsday to have his sweet ponytail in Batman v. Superman. Ruffalo and Roth’s return helps bring some credibility to the show with promise for connections to what came before the series.
Ginger Gonzaga took to Twitter to share the news of her casting:
I’m beyond excited to join 💚#Shehulk!💚 We will be directed by #KatCairo! @ChairmanGao is gifting us her hilarious writing & I get to run amok w/ the insanely talented #tatianamaslaney. Thanks @Marvel & @disneyplus 4 your support & having me in the fam! Get ready! It’s AWESOME! https://t.co/bqMUdlhE5O

Again, we don’t know much, but it looks like She-Hulk is shaping up to be very promising. (Can we please get Red Hulk at some point?) What are your thoughts regarding Ginger Gonzaga’s casting? How do you think her character will play into the series? Are you looking forward to She-Hulk coming to Disney+? Leave your comments in the usual spot, and thanks for reading!
