Sideshow Collectibles To Get This Month And Unboxing Cheetara Statue

Hello and welcome back to my column of collecting pricey Sideshow Collectibles statues and toys!  And as always thanks for taking the time to read this column and for your new welcome.  I have had a few readers ask me to record when opening a new statue.  So I was lucky to get a new one for this month!  I received a childhood cartoon character named Cheetara, from the ThunderCats.  I was not sure what to expect with this statue because her eyes can light up, so that was something new I never had a statue do.  I will post the unboxing of Cheetara and the end of this column along with pics of her and items new from Sideshow Collectibles this month.

Let’s start off with a fan favorite show from Disney, The Mandalorian figure Bo-Katan Kryze.  The likeness of the beautiful actress Katee Sackhoff is spot on, and she is a very talented actress worthy to have a figure made of her.  The figure is about 11” inches tall and can be put into any action pose on your shelf.  The figure was made by Hot Toys and cost around $285.00 plus whatever shipping will be.  But you can do a layaway plan that starts at $51.30 a month.  And speaking of this show they also have a cute The Child backpack for you die-hard fans.  This is made by Loungefly Company and only $80.00, and since under $100.0 no layaway plans on this item.  This is a small backpack but again cute and can be a great gift for someone or you can keep it.

Two great fine art prints coming out this month are Catwoman by Heon-jwa Choe and Heralds of Galactus by John Keaveney.  Both are under $95.00 each and can be sent framed or unframed, they come autographed by artists and are limited to release.  Again there is no layaway plan on these items but again they do not cost very much.  The Catwoman print is beautiful and would make a great addition to your collection or man cave.  The Silver Surfer is centered in the heralds along with Nova the other herald of Galactus. They are only about 18 x 24” and come again with an embossed seal of authenticity.

PCS Company is releasing the Shredder from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle collection.  They have the four turtles released so it made sense to have this villain facing them in battle to display on your shelf.  There are two variations to choose from the collector’s edition $600.00 or the exclusive edition $625.00.  The only difference is the exclusive give the collector more weapon options for Shredder to use.  There is a layaway plan for this statue starting at $80.36, and the Shredder is spot on as well.  Also for most statues you will need to put down a non-refundable deposit.  He is 22” inches tall and width is about 13” inches, and the weight is not over 17 pounds.  Which is the normal weight of Sideshow statues, unless they are taller than 22” inches.

Sideshow Collectables has a special line called Life-Size Bust.  This month Tweeterhead has Skeletor from Masters of the Universe, and yes this line of bust is not cheap.  The price is $1,000.00 and has a layaway plan starting at $128.57 a month to add him to your collection.  This guy is about 28” inches tall and is 30” inches in width, and the right is not listed but having a few they are heavy so have a strong shelf for him.  The detail on this statue is super detailed and very dark and creepy the way you would expect Skeletor to look.

A cool new line from Super 7 and Sideshow Collectables are The Transformers.  Their line is super clean because they look just like the classic cartoon versions.  They are plastic and you have to cut and put them together so they are models that are easy and fun to put together.  The price for each is only about $55.00 starting and weighs nothing since they are plastic, the height is 8” inches, and easy to get them all on one shelf.  So start off with Optimus Prime, then Starscream and the rest of the Transformers

So for my new addition, I have Cheetara from ThunderCats, and they have two editions to pick from.  The collector’s edition is $445, and the exclusive edition is $460.00 and the layaway plan starts at $138.00.  The big difference between the two is that the exclusive has her eyes light up, which is why I got it.  But as I write this column I see that the collector edition is now sold out and on the waitlist.  For the new readers, a waitlist is where you are listed just in case one person who ordered one decides to cancel their order.  I was a huge ThunderCats fan as a kid, so I wanted this to add to my collection and again was different because she has light-up eyes. She is detailed perfectly and only about 16 inches tall and 13 inches wide, the weight is not much about 17 pounds.

This is just a small example of what is being released this month, so while you read this column they are releasing new items weekly.  Please go to Sideshow Collectables check out what they have that may fall in your collection world.  They also have monthly contests and giveaways so make sure to sign up and you may win some free goodies!  Thanks for stopping by and reading my column and again I have a video of me opening Cheetara, it is my first one so hope you enjoy it.  Also while you’re here please go look around and read other columns, stories, podcasts, and videos.  Thank You!
