Simon Kinberg on Season Ending and Future of Apple TV+’s Invasion [Exclusive Interview]

Apple TV+'s Invasion From Simon Kinberg

Alas, it seems like a peaceful ending for the first season of Apple TV+’s Invasion, but there is definitely more story to tell, according to executive producer Simon Kinberg.

Invasion is a very ambitious storytelling effort with multiple perspectives on several continents inspired by H.G. Wells’ novel War of the Worlds.

The series stars Shamier Anderson (Bruised, Awake), Golshifteh Farahani (Extraction, Body of Lies), Sam Neill (Jurassic World: Dominion, Peaky Blinders), Firas Nassar (Fauda), Shioli Kutsuna (Deadpool 2, The Outsider), and Billy Barratt (Mary Poppins Returns).

The 10-episode science fiction drama follows an American-Muslim family escape into the country, an American soldier in Afghanistan trying to return home, a British schoolboy returning to his mother after a disastrous field trip, and a Japanese engineer trying to uncover the truth of a space accident.
