The young actress Tara Moayedi took on a big role as a six-year-old when she was cast as Sarah Malik in Apple TV+’s Invasion.

The ambitious series is very similar to War of the Worlds with invading unknown aliens. However, the film portrays different perspectives of characters from all over the world, including a British boy with friends on a school bus, a soldier in Afghanistan making his way back home, a Japanese engineer in a space program, and a family trying to survive by escaping alien forces.

More than halfway through the season, the show garners certain buzz for differing human reactions against unknown forces.

Here is the official synopsis:

Invasion is a new, 10-episode science fiction drama series from Academy and Emmy Award-nominated writer/producer/director Simon Kinberg (X-Men films, Deadpool films) and David Weil (Hunters). The sweeping, character-driven series, directed by Emmy Award nominee Jakob Verbruggen (The Alienist, The Fall), premiered globally with the first three episodes October 22, on Apple TV+. New episodes are released weekly, every Friday.

Set across multiple continents, Invasion follows an alien invasion through different perspectives around the world. The series stars Shamier Anderson (Bruised, Awake), Golshifteh Farahani (Extraction, Body of Lies), Sam Neill (Jurassic World: Dominion, Peaky Blinders), Firas Nassar (Fauda), Shioli Kutsuna (Deadpool 2, The Outsider), and Billy Barratt (Mary Poppins Returns).

LRM Online’s Gig Patta talked with the young actress Tara Moayedi about the experiences of her first role and her future career.

Tara Moayedi is a rising star based in Houston and speaks three languages fluently. Invasion is her first major role as she started acting at the age of six years of age.

Invasion is now streaming through episode seven through Apple TV+. The interview was conducted before the season started, but held due to spoilers.
