As freaky with the creepy smiles in the horror surprise of 2022’s Smile, the curse lives on with its follow-up sequel in Smile 2 as it jumps to a high-profile singer-celebrity.

The film stars Naomi Scott (Aladdin, Power Rangers), Rosemarie DeWitt (Rachel Getting Married, Your Sister’s Sister), Lukas Gage (Euphoria, The White Lotus), Miles Gutierrez-Riley (Agatha All Along, The Wilds), Peter Jacobson (House, WeCrashed), Ray Nicholson, Dylan Gelula (First Girl I Loved, Dream Scenario), Raul Castillo (Cassandro, We the Animals), and Kyle Gallner (Smile, Scream).

Parker Finn returns from the original film to direct and write the sequel.

Here is the official synopsis of Smile 2:

About to embark on a new world tour, global pop sensation Skye Riley (Naomi Scott) begins experiencing increasingly terrifying and inexplicable events. Overwhelmed by the escalating horrors and the pressures of fame, Skye is forced to face her dark past to regain control of her life before it spirals out of control.

The first film was a slow burn, but its creepy images of smiling faces haunt audiences. Not to mention, the studio had an excellent marketing campaign, sending out countless people to photobomb and videobomb various locations with their smiles. No doubt they’ll be attempting to repeat their marketing success.

For now, their clever marketing campaign is creating a fan page for their fictional singer-celebrity on Instagram and other social media platforms @skyerileynation. Nothing creepy has released yet, but the music is impressive. So, they’ve developed an excellent soundtrack for the film.

Smile 2 is in theaters on October 18.
