So Jackie Chan WASN’T Teasing Rush Hour 4?

Well, color me confused. As we reported yesterday, there was a recent picture of Rush Hour stars Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker that surfaced online. The photo showed the two actors holding up the number four with their hands, and given their involvement together in a franchise that’s spanned three movies, and given that both Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker have confirmed many times over the years that a sequel could happen, it seemed like there was an obvious conclusion to jump to.

The conclusion was that they were teasing a fourth Rush Hour movie. But is this actually the case? Jackie Chan’s management company, JC Group, will have you believe that this isn’t the case. On Chan’s official website, JC Group wrote up a statement that news regarding Chan’s involvement on Rush Hour 4 or The Karate Kid 2 were false, seeming to put an end to all speculation right away.

That being said, the statement actually appears to be in response to information apparently pulled from a personal email of someone named Esmond Ren. The photo in question posted by Tucker wasn’t even mentioned, and while I have no solid evidence to back this up, it leads me to believe this has more to do with that letter than any potential sequel to anything.

I mean, come on. What the hell else would Chan and Tucker be teasing? Who knows? Only time will tell.
