As we normally do, today is social media embargo day for Loki and we have reactions for Loki Season 2. As per usual I will round up a selection of comments I have found online from those who have seen the first 4 episodes of the 6 episode Season 2. In general it is worth saying that the majority of comments I’ve found are positive.
Given that Loki was one of the best rated MCU shows by far, most media seem to be happy this is ether as good as, or better than Season 1. Of course, not everyone thinks this, it’s always going to be subjective. Let’s start with LRM‘s own Gig Patta and see what Gig thought of Season 2’s first 4 episodes.
Bigger and bolder sets. Good character development. #LokiSeason2 starts off where it ended from the first season. But, I am growing wary of Let's save the Universe in Marvel, and every second of this show is a ticking time bomb. Kang is pretty goofy.
Lastly, the new drinking… pic.twitter.com/7cYEtMsBmG

Not necessarily the most positive comment on here, but still positive. I’m more inclined to trust someone not blown away by it anyway. Having a few gripes feels kinda essential to me.
#Loki Season 2 rules.
The first 4 episodes have a thrilling time-traveling mystery and charm. Some of the TVA sci-fi jargon is hard to follow. The cast is tremendous together. The sets are great. Overall, it’s awesome.

Another mention of the sets looking great.
#Loki Season 2 delivers thrilling action, strong new characters in OB and Victor Timely, and a true sense of suspense through much of the first four episodes.
Tom Hiddleston continues to prove why Loki is one of the best, most-layered characters in the MCU. Can’t wait for more! pic.twitter.com/2spXucQX2v

Watched the first four (out of six) episodes for #Loki season 2 and loved it. I didn't love first season and this is better, faster, and takes bigger swings. Depending how they followup the WILD fourth episode, it might be the best Marvel Studios show on Disney+. Much needed.👍👍 pic.twitter.com/avvUUjGIDb

Have seen the first four episodes of #Loki Season 2 and very much enjoyed them. This season has upped the zaniness and the “Bill & Ted”-style time warp shenanigans, feeling more like the show I thought it would be originally. Great character stuff too. And gorgeously designed. pic.twitter.com/CvmvOC99hH

As said, not everyone is quite as positive about Loki Season 2.
I was very disappointed with the first few episodes of #LokiSeason2. You don't feel the stakes, the stories are not all that interesting, and S1's essential, exciting energy is gone. The cast is still great and, hopefully, it gets better, but I expected more after 2 years away. pic.twitter.com/dyfuw5Wwca

I saw the first four episodes of #LokiSeason2
Doesn't live up to S1. The story was less interesting and had less direction in the opening episodes.
The acting is superb and the character dynamics are great. But I’ve come out less excited about Kang and Avengers 5 than before.

I can’t say I don’t agree about being less excited by Kang as I used to be, but still hoped this would be as good as Season 1 was.
#Loki S2 starts slow and is overstuffed. The first episode is messy bc of the setup, but episode 2 & onward tells an engaging sci-fi story. Hiddleston and Wilson are incredible together, and Ke Huy Quan is delightful. Much deeper & darker. Sophia Di Martino STEALS the spotlight. pic.twitter.com/8IM1f1A2qb

Not a fan of Episode 1 but things start to improve as it goes on with this last one.
