Solo: A Star Wars Story – Jon Kasdan Talks About A Deleted Scene That Featured Him In A Cameo Role

While the box office take isn’t all that impressive, Solo: A Star Wars Story was a fun time in the theater. It featured enough scenes that fans wanted to get the job done. Now, co-writer Jon Kasdan has revealed an interesting deleted scene. Speaking with IndieWire, Kasdan revealed a scene where Han gets booted from Imperial aerial training and talks about his cameo in the film that ultimately was scrapped from the film:

“Yeah, so did we! In fact, we hope, and I believe that when you finally get a Blu-ray of this movie, you’ll see a terrific scene with Han in aerial training and then getting kicked out of aerial training. [laughs] And ultimately, with a cameo by me. The reason I decided to do a cameo in that particular scene is we were sure it wouldn’t get cut out, and of course, it did. Ultimately, I think you would think, and all people would agree, that the trajectory of the movie is helped by not having it. But it is a moment that we too would have loved to see more of and really believe in.”

The cameo Kasdan is referring to would have been really cool to have seen, because it featured the popular Star Wars comic book characters, Tag and Bink, who often find themselves present at key events in the Star Wars universe. I have to say it would have also been nice to see Han doing flight training, that seems like it would be an essential scene in the film, but as I mentioned earlier, it will likely appear on the home release.
