Solo: A Star Wars Story – The [SPOILER] Cameo Scene Hits The Web!

The digital version of Solo: A Star Wars Story will be available in just a few days, but for now, IGN has supplied us all with a high quality version of the end of the film, the Darth Maul scene to be specific. I have mixed feelings about this scene, it was nice to see a familiar face in Maul, however it did seem sort of forced in there to make a connection to the prequel trilogy. The future of solo Solo films remains uncertain due to the film’s mediocre box-office performance. Ray Park, the actor and martial artist who at least in the films portrays Maul recently spoke with Forbes and talked about how the part came to be.

“I found out last June/July when we were in Guatemala, got the phone call from Lynne Hale from Lucasfilm. And it was really nice of her, because she said to me ‘Ray, we’re just calling to see if you would like to do it.’ And I went [inhales slowly] ‘Yeah. Do you want me on the plane now?’”

Park also said that should Maul continue to appear in films, he has lots of ideas of where to take the character

“If anything ever happens in the future and the character is back, and it’s me? I have a lot of great ideas of what I’d like to do with it,”

Solo: A Star Wars Story was, good enough, at least for me. It could have been better sure, but with the production problems the film faced, I was pleased with the outcome. Personally, I would like to explore Han Solo’s world a bit more, but whether or not Disney wants to take that chance remains to be seen.
