A couple days ago news came that Jon Favreau would be joining the cast of Solo: A Star Wars Story. In a tweet, the film’s director, Ron Howard, said that Favreau would be “voicing a very cool & important alien character,” and today comes a tweet from Favreau himself, that appears to confirm his character.

Favreau has lent his voice to a number of projects in the last, with the most recent being 2016’s The Jungle Book, a film which he also directed. The alien character and Favreau’s voice seem like an unusual pairing, that’s not to say it won’t work out brilliantly, because I actually think it will, but the character’s appearance and Favreau’s voice appear to be quite the odd couple.
Favreau, who will be directing the live action Lion King has forged a career as both an actor and a director. Helming the Iron-Man trilogy, which helped to launch the Marvel Cinematic Universe he has also appeared on both Seinfeld and Friends. He has also appeared on both Seinfeld and Friends
Favreau can next be seen, or rather heard, in Solo: A Star Wars Story, which hits theaters May 25.
