Someone Mashed Up Avengers: Infinity War With Majora’s Mask

Earlier today, EW dropped a whole host of stories and images revolving around Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War. One such image showed Thanos pulling down a moon using the might of the Infinity Gauntlet.

This is a scene that’s been teased ever since it was shown off at last year’s D23 Expo. In one fell swoop, it showed the danger of both Thanos and the Infinity Gauntlet. But, if you’re like this writer, then chances are you’ve already connected the shot from the film with the video game The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask.

Someone out in the internet world has taken it upon themselves to mash the two properties together in the following image.

For those who are looking at the image and have no idea what the hell they’re supposed to be getting, I suppose it’ll help to have an idea of what Majora’s Mask is. The game first hit the Nintendo 64 system back in 2000. In it, Link ventured into the land of Termina. Hovering high above the sky is a creepy moon in the distance. It has a terrifying face on it, and over the course of its three-day timeline, it ventures closer and closer to the earth until it destroys everything.

The game itself has gone on to be a low-key favorite to many fans of the series, and the moon itself has cemented itself as a staple of geek culture, thanks to its undeniably unsettling appearance.
