First thing Monday we had our first look at Vin Diesel’s Bloodshot from Sony Pictures. Valiant Entertainment fans had long waited to see one of their favorite Valiant characters come to life on the big screen. Many of them took to social media and praised the trailer, while a few had quite a few reservations about the bland look that Diesel showcased as Bloodshot. But it’s just a trailer, meaning that there is still a lot more that we have not seen yet. With that said a new international trailer dropped today for Bloodshot, you can check it out above!
It’s interesting to watch and compare both the domestic and international trailers. First off the domestic trailer is about thirty seconds longer than the international trailer. It’s well known that a lot of international audiences love action films, which is a reason why actors like Tom Cruise are very marketable around the world. For some, the plot comes second after all the action sequences. With the way the international trailer was cut, we can see that they are showcasing the film as fast paced and full of action. You can check out the domestic trailer in the link below!
Bloodshot is the first film based on a Valiant Entertainment property. The comic book character was co-created by Kevin VanHook, Don Perlin and Bob Layton. The film is being directed by Dave Wilson and along with Diesel the film also stars Eiza Gonzalez, Sam Heughan, Toby Kebbell and Guy Pierce.
If you want to learn more about the character before you check out the movie early next year, then I suggest picking up Valiant Entertainment’s Bloodshot Definitive Edition, which collects Bloodshot #0-13 from 2012 that was written by Duane Swierczynski and Matt Kindt.
Make sure to let us know what you thought about the international trailer for Bloodshot!
Sony Pictures’ Bloodshot opens in theaters February 21st, 2020.
