Sony’s Kraven movie to shoot next Month? That’s the potential Barside Buzz today from the folks over at Murphy’s Multiverse. The insider site with a great track record says that whilst dates can always change, it looks like Kraven the Hunter could begin shooting within the next Month in the U.K.
Production start dates have always been tentative and now, more than ever, it’s important to keep that in mind, but assuming no delays, it sounds like Kraven the Hunter will begin production in the UK next month. Given the film’s January 2023 release date, it’s a very sensible timeline for principal photography, leaving plenty of time for any additional photography, which is always factored into these projects.
This was in an article for Murphy’s Murmurs, which I think works a bit like our Barside Buzz. I’m sure Murphy isn’t 100% but from what he is hearing and using his own logic, this would appear to be the current estimates.
The only real details we have for Kraven the Hunter currently is that the movie will be directed by J.C. Chandor and star Aaron Taylor-Johnson as the titular character. What that story will involve, and whether anyone will care if there’s no Spider-Man remains to be seen? Perhaps Sony will look at have Andrew Garfield appear as their own version of Spider-Man in the SSMU? However for now there appears no rumors about the plot, nor whether Garfield or any other Spidey could feature.

I’d be so excited if Kraven was the antagonist of Spider-Man 4 (MCU), or TASM3 even. However a movie just about the story of Kraven, doesn’t quite tick my boxes. It might be great, It just doesn’t excite me much.
