Spider-Cat! Spider-Cat! Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Cat Introduced in Spider-Man: Miles Morales

The next installment of the Spider-Man video game series for PlayStation is even more exciting.

It’s all because it’ll be introducing a four-legged feline deemed as Spider-Cat in the upcoming Spider-Man: Miles Morales.

From the brief gaming video courtesy of Game Informer, Spider-Cat rests in Spidey’s backpack. He is even used in combat situations as a finishing move with bad guys by launching his claws of fury. The best feature of all? Spider-Cat dons his own mask. How cute?!?

The detailed plot of the cat story wasn’t really explained, except that Miles Morales tracked down catnappers on a bodega robbery. Morales saved the cat at a powerplant down the street. Of course, it doesn’t explain why these catnappers need a cat at a power plant. Certainly, this cat is special.

Once the cat, named Spider-Man appropriately, is saved—he becomes an optional costume for the player. Now, this is a cool side quest worth installing into your PlayStation.

Now, how about Black Cat?

Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales is an upcoming adventure game developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. It releases worldwide as the launch title for PlayStation 5 on November 12 in select markets and then November 19 internationally.

The bit storyline follows the game’s conclusion of Marvel’s Spider-Man and its downloadable content of The City That Never Sleeps. Trained under Peter Parker, Miles Morales transforms himself into Spider-Man. He must defend New York City from a gang war between Roxxon Energy Corporation and a high-tech criminal army called the Underground, led by the Tinkerer. In the meantime, he must also assist his mother’s campaign for City Council.
