A lot of Marvel news dropped this weekend, including Spider-Man 4 delayed, Daredevil: Born Again S2 window, no Moon Knight S2, plus more. Let’s start with the headliner, Spider-Man 4 has been delayed folks, however, only by a week.
As per Deadline,
‘Sony and Marvel Studios’ new untitled Spider-Man with Tom Holland and from Destin Daniel Cretton is going a week later on July 31 instead of July 24 in 2026.’
The main reason they give, which makes sense is to provide more separation from Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey. Nolan’s new movie releases on July 17. Therefore, this delay gives an extra week before Spider-Man 4 hits theatres.
Next up, there will be more Moon Knight, but not a Moon Knight Season 2 says Marvel exec Brad Winderbaum. Here’s what Marvel exec said in a recent chat with ComicBook.com.
“So I think Marvel Television has happened in waves, and I think Moon Knight happened in a wave of shows that were going to establish characters that would tie-in to the future and moving forward our priorities have shifted. We’re making shows as shows that can exist as annual releases, more like television. I would love to see a Moon Knight Season 2, but there are plans for Moon Knight down the road.”

Speaking to the same outlet, Winderbaum also indicated that Daredevil will inevitably run into other Defenders characters in the future.
“I don’t know, I want to follow the characters and see where they go,” Winderbaum said. “I think the two characters that are most important for Daredevil: Born Again are obviously Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk. They live and breath in a world where these other Defenders characters are walking around somewhere, so I think collisions are inevitable.”
In a separate interview with EW Winderbaum also stated that they were exploring ideas for a Hawkeye Season 2 currently.
Lastly when speaking with ScreenRant Winderbaum gives us a release window for Daredevil: Born Again Season 2.
Winderbaum confirmed that the plan is for Born Again to be a yearly release, which means next year for Season 2.
“That is the plan. Season 2 will come out next year, and then hopefully season 3 and season infinity after that. I think this world is extremely rich, and there are many stories to be told on the streets of New York.”
“It’s certainly something very fundamental to Marvel, going back to the earliest days of publishing with Stan and Jack and Steve and the original Marvel bullpen. It’s New York through New York, and the fact that we’re able to shoot here and tell a story about New York made by New Yorkers is just fundamental to the series.”
So, Spider-Man 4 is delayed by a week. Daredevil: Born Again is planned as a yearly TV series and we have an S2 release window. Moon Knight is returning to MCU, but likely no Moon Knight S2. Oh, and Hawkeye Season 2 may happen as Marvel are discussing ideas. There’s your weekend’s Marvel news folks, let us know what you think below.
