Some Barside Buzz around Spider-Man: Brand New Day seem to confirm Sadie Sink’s role in the film and her future in the MCU. It goes without saying, but if you are staying away from any SPOILERS, you may want to skip this story. We are at the point where I’m certain most of what’s covered today is legit.
**Potential Major SPOILERS For Brand New Day**
For those that follow the rumors, you likely know where this is headed because the writing has been on the wall, in some ways right from the very start. Back away when Sink’s name was first mentioned, it was from Jeff Sneider. at the time he though Sink was up for the role of Jean Grey and assumed it was for the X-Men reboot. However, casting had not even begun for that film and within a few days it was announced Sink was cast in Brand New Day instead. Sneider assumed he had got something a little wrong and there were I think some false flags sent out by Sony, to lead scoopers down a different path.
However, it has become apparent that Jean Grey is the most likely option, and the rumor being wrong was only the film she was being cast for. Now Jeff Sneider has come out to say, he’s pretty sure Sink is playing Jean Grey.

Sneider is not alone in this sudden feeling of surety from leakers. Cryptic HD also had a few details to share about how Jean will be handled.

Finally on the subject of Sadie Sink/ Jean Grey we have another insider with news. Not quite on the level of the first two, but MTTSH says Sink is signed up for a 5 movie contract with potential TV show appearances.
“signed a deal for 5 movies with Marvel, including an option for TV shows.”
And our final piece of Barside Buzz related to Spider-Man: Brand New Day is from AlexP from TCC. After fans had asked the insider says there is no mention of Harry or Norman Osborn in the film.

There you have it folks. The rumors have dried up a bit the last couple of weeks. However, when they do drop now, then tend to be a bit more spoilery than before. I have heard a rumor, (unsubstantiated) that script for Brand New Day has been leaked online. However, not from anyone I actually trust.
