We have known for some time now that Samuel L. Jackson would be reprising his Marvel role as Nick Fury in Spider-Man: Far From Home. This will come after he plays a younger version of the character from the 90’s in Captain Marvel.
We also know that Coby Smulders will be again playing Maria Hill in the Spidey Sequel and about the only other thing we know about this movie (officially) is that much of it will be set in Europe. There have been various set-videos and photo’s revealed so far showing both Jake Gyllenhaal as Mysterio and Spider-Man wearing what appears to be an all-black SHIELD costume.

Now we have a new set photo from the romantic city of Venice, and as you will see it features Nick Fury accompanying Spider-Man (in traditional suit) taking a boat ride in one of Venice’s famous waterways, check out the Twitter post from user I am Groot below.

How romantic, but you will also notice there appears to be some damage to the boat here as well. I’d guess that this is some boat based action scene in the vein of that filmed in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Venice is far from a city with tall buildings and this may well make web-slinging far harder for our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.
This is feeling almost like some sort of spy story with Peter being drafted in by SHIELD as a secret agent type. Whilst that’s a unique take on a Spidey movie, I’m not sure it’s what I would have gone with personally. I guess I want to see Peter swinging around Manhattan a little and that’s not something we have really seen yet in the MCU.
What do you think of the photo above, is love in the air between Fury and Parker or is this simply some sort of boat chase? Sound off in the chat zone below as always.
