Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer to debut at CinemaCon, but not appear online? That is the latest buzz around the movie. Insider Daniel Richtman posted to social media to state the information, though the post was quickly deleted. However, as with all things online, nothing is ever truly gone.

Now there are two possibilities as to why Richtman deleted this post. 1. He found out the information was incorrect and deleted it. 2. His sources asked him to kill the story for now and he deleted it. I don’t really see a third option here to be honest. As for whether it’s true that the Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer to debut at CinemaCon? I’m not sure. Normally I’d say Richtman has a 50/50 hit rate, but when it comes to trailers, especially Sony trailers he always seem to be ahead of the game and rarely wrong. However the fact he deleted the post might mean he got his wires crossed slightly on this one? Either way, we cannot say for certain.

It would be fair to say that Spider-Man: No Way Home is probably the most anticipated trailer of any movie coming soon. No Way Home is still currently scheduled for December, however with the Venom: Let There Be Carnage delay, Sony could decide to hold off on Spider-Man a little longer. That remains to be seen, but with all the rumors surrounding a Multiversal Spider-Verse style plot, the rumors of Tobey and Andrew returning, and the knowledge several villains are returning, has fans on the edge of their seats waiting for this one to drop.
If Sony do take this CinemaCon exclusive approach, then I’m not keen on the idea. We all know for a fact that within 12 hours the description of that trailer will be online and dampen the excitement when Sony do release it online. If it was a case of releasing it within 12 hours after its debut at CinemaCon, then maybe I’d understand the marketing more. And what about CinemaCon itself, there are many conventions already not going ahead due to the Delta variant of COVID. How many people will be able to attend CinemaCon next week in Nevada?
Sound off below as always.
