Star Trek: Discovery S5 | Doug Jones and David Ajala on the Fandom in the Final Season

Doug Jones and David Ajala understand the love and respect for Star Trek: Discovery for its final season with season five.

However, the crew of the U.S.S. Discovery will face their most daunting challenge yet in season five, as they embark on a perilous mission to save the universe.

Here is the official description:

The fifth and final season of Star Trek: Discovery finds Captain Burnham and the crew of the U.S.S. Discovery uncovering a mystery that will send them on an epic adventure across the galaxy to find an ancient power whose very existence has been deliberately hidden for centuries. But there are others on the hunt as well…dangerous foes who are desperate to claim the prize for themselves and will stop at nothing to get it.

Star Trek: Discovery season five cast members include Sonequa Martin-Green (Captain Michael Burnham), Doug Jones (Saru), Anthony Rapp (Paul Stamets), Mary Wiseman (Sylvia Tilly), Wilson Cruz (Dr. Hugh Culber), David Ajala (Cleveland “Book” Booker), Blu del Barrio (Adira), and Callum Keith Rennie (Rayner). Season five also features recurring guest stars Elias Toufexis (L’ak) and Eve Harlow (Moll).

LRM Online’s Gig Patta chatted with Doug Jones and David Ajala on the final season of Star Trek: Discovery.

Doug Jones is best known as an actor for his ability as a contortionist. He collaborated with Guillermo del Toro in Mimic, Hellboy, Pan’s Labyrinth, Hellboy II: The Golden Army, Crimson Peak, and The Shape of Water. He had roles in other films, including Hocus Pocus, Tank Girl, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, Absentia, Ouija: Origin of Evil, and The Bye Bye Man. His television credits included Falling Skies, The Strain, and What We Do in the Shadows.

David Ajala is best known as Manchester Black in Supergirl and Captain Roy Eris in Nightflyers. He began acting on stage in A Midnight Night’s Dream and Hamlet. His first film was Kidulthood, and then its sequels, Adulthood and Brotherhood. He made appearances in The Dark Knight and Doctor Who. He received significant roles in Black Box, Beowulf: Return to the Shieldlands, and Falling Water.

The fifth and final season of Star Trek: Discovery premieres on April 4 on Paramount+ with its first two episodes, followed by a new episode every Thursday for its 10-episode season.
