According to Deadline, Star Wars: Ahsoka casts Ivanna Sakhno in an undisclosed role for the upcoming Disney+ show. Ahsoka is due to begin shooting around March of next year. Sakhno (Pacific Rim: Uprising) is the latest cast addition to the show. The role of Sabine Wren recently being filled by Natasha Liu Bordizzo. In addition we know of course that the lead actor will be Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka. As for who Sakhno could be playing, Deadline says they think it’s a new character. I’ve already seen fans guessing everything from an older Omega to Hera Syndulla so far. However truthfully Sakhno probably is playing a brand new character we have never come across before.
There are two actors we know are going to appear in Ahsoka that have not been announced by a trade yet and that’s Mena Massoud as Ezra and Lars Mikkelsen as Thrawn. It was LRM who broke that news when the pair signed. I also have a funny feeling we won’t get any confirmation of that like we got with Sabine. I don’t know for certain, but my guess would be that Ezra and Thrawn may not show up till later in the season, maybe even the finale. That means don’t expect to hear about the casting until Lucasfilm wants it out there.

As for who else may show up, I hope we get to see Temuera Morrison back as an older Rex. We’ve not heard anything solid about that, but I think fans would love it. As for where the show will go it’s hard to say. One would expect events to follow Ahsoka and Sabine’s search for Ezra and ergo Thrawn. However where we go from there I have absolutely no idea yet and that’s cool.
