Tom Holland comments on new Spider-Man trilogy talk. Yesterday we ran a story covering some comments by Sony’s Amy Pascal who basically confirmed a new Spider-Man trilogy was in the works WITH Marvel Studios and WITH Tom Holland. Then THR ran a report saying, ‘hey we’re not sure Amy Pascal is completely telling the truth here?’ The trade says talks are ongoing, but nothing is official, as yet. I guess who do we believe? Amazingly I believe THR because this is classic Pascal. She wants the deal to happen, so here is a little bit of pressure to Disney now the fans can have their voices heard about this idea.
Now I’m, sure Tom Holland is fully aware of all these talks, but also unlike Pascal has to watch what he is saying. So when Holland was asked about Pascal’s claims on a French TV Interview, see below, he was slightly taken aback you can tell. However because the translation makes it difficult to hear in English, here is the transcript.
“Next question… Listen, all I’ll say is we have some very, very exciting things to be talking about. I don’t know what those things are or what they will transpire to mean. But it looks like it’s an incredibly bright future ahead, and as I’ve said before, Spider-Man will forever live in me.”

It seems like an absolute certainty that the Sony/Marvel deal is being re-upped. However until the finer details are agreed, let’s not get too hasty. Do I think we are getting another Tom Holland Spider-Man trilogy? Yup, but until it’s official anything can happen between these two studios. Remember the great split! However it does look like Holland will be sticking around as Spider-Man in the MCU for a while yet.
