We can count on one hand the amount of Star Wars animated films that have been produced. The Clone Wars was pretty much a longer and awful episode of the far superior show, and there really hasn’t been much else outside of Lego. According to Jordan Maison of Cinelinx though, that could change. Check out Maison’s social media post below.
*Looks around*
As far as I know, they ARE doing more and actively working on a couple animated "films"

Interesting, this is not something any other insiders have as yet heard about, that I know of. At least nothing they have published. I’ve also got to say that LRM‘s own sources tend to not have much information about the animated side of Lucasfilm, we got almost no info around The Bad Batch ourselves. Perhaps Maison has an inside line into someone within the animation dept. at Lucasfilm? This would also line up with recent comments made by Matt Lanter. The actor who voiced Anakin Skywalker in The Clone Wars also teased he is coming back. Fans began to wonder where, considering in The Bad Batch, Anakin is now Vader.

However I guess Lanter could be talking about something completely different? I know The Clone Wars fans have wanted to see some unfinished arcs from that period. Could Lucasfilm be gearing up a few Star Wars animated films to cover some of those arcs off? Of course that would also explain the Matt Lanter thing, so I can see why fans are jumping to these conclusions and getting their hopes up. However, for now I think we need to wait and see, there’s not much to go on here after all.
Personally, the one animated project I want to see is a Luke Skywalker Jedi Academy show with Mark Hamill on voice. However, even though we have heard there is something coming with Luke we have no idea whether it is animated or live-action yet. Would you want to see some Star Wars animated films from Lucasfilm?
