Star Wars: Battlefront 2 has not fared as well as either EA or Disney would have liked, partly due to the micro-transaction controversies which we hear at LRM covered Here.
Developer DICE has been promising changes will be coming soon in terms of gameplay options and balancing and on February 9, they released patch notes for the upcoming update to the game across all platforms.
However, as yet, there is no hard release date for this patch to go live. You can find the full patch notes over on the games own Forums.
Here is a brief list of most of the changes on their way in this update:
- Limited Time Jetpack Cargo game mode arrives
- Arcade updates (AI updates and more)
- Hero and Villain Balancing
- Balancing for Classes, Reinforcements and Core combat
- Fix for Milestones not unlocking
- Level design Balance changes
- Level design bug fixes
All of this is pretty standard for any online game balance patches, what we don’t really have here is the detail of exactly what some of these changes are going to be. With an unknown go-live date, you have to wonder just how far along some of these changes are? The question still remains whether any of this will appease fans looking for more variation in game modes and offline content.
You can find some detailed thoughts from me on what this game really needs to keep fans happy Here.
Let us know what you think of the Patch update in the comments below as always.
