Today we are sharing the latest set of rumors from Star Wars scoop site MSW for your perusal. The latest batch of rumors was discussed in MSW‘s Now, This is Podcasting show and the highlights were listed on their site which you can catch Here.
However, I’ll list them all here with a little commentary from me where appropriate.
Jordan was used as a location for filming for 2 completely different planets in Episode 9. (Something I have heard from various sources so far)
One of these planets is expected to be familiar (Tattooine is the planet referred to here) and one planet is brand new to Star Wars.
The new planet featured scenes with The Knights of Ren and Kylo Ren was seen walking away from a crashed Tie fighter type ship on this planet set.
They say the Lars homestead was built and internal shots filmed in Pinewood, with external shots filmed in Jordan. (Hence the Tattooine link)
Luke Skywalker’s X-Wing will feature in this movie, this could potentially be a flashback scene with Luke arriving on Ahch-To. Apparently an Ahch-To set was built in Pinewood. (I have seen pictures of what appears to be the front end of Luke’s X-Wing or another classic X-Wing being removed from set. Check out for yourself Here.) [The picture has now been removed from this post and many fans have pointed out that it doesn’t have to be Luke’s anyway which I agree with.]
They also say that Rey has Luke’s pilot helmet for some reason. (Can’t imagine the relevance of this)
The MacGuffin (we have mentioned this in previous reports a few times) supposedly starts out as one thing, which then leads to something else. Still no idea what this is, but it is supposedly the movie’s big secret and no one is talking.
Kylo’s ship is white with red and black details and lots of cool looking mechanical parts around it. Apparently Vader’s helmet is stored there.
A set previously reported as a castle, actually turns out to be a mining town.
There is a droid factory there which is Easter egg heaven. Even including some prequel era battle droids and the Bad Robot…..robot.
Kylo Ren fights resistance troopers in a swamp and supposedly uses some brutal moves on them. (I’ve heard a lot about this swamp planet from other sources.)
The Black Park set which featured the Millennium Falcon set seemingly saw the Falcon on fire at one point. (Effects, not real)
An Orange X-wing was seen on set and they are convinced it does not belong to Poe.
Keri Russel has a Rose gold outfit, fancy like a Stormtrooper but with the armor split into triangles on a purple suit. Her helmet has the shape of an Olympic cycling helmet (Elongated at the back). Russel in suit was seen on the snow planet set.
Rumor of a potential zero gravity battle at the end of the film, which a massive set was built for. (Not sure I like that idea, but this also seems very vague and less solid than some of the other potential leaks)
So there you have it, folks, all of these rumors are coming from the one site, and again, all we can say is that MSW appears very confident of their sources on this film. The problem is we won’t be able to firm up any of these rumors for quite some time, and by then, if wrong, we won’t have time to correct.

So take these rumors and potential leaks with a pinch of salt as always, they may all be true, some of them may be true or all of them may be garbage. Judge for yourself how much stock to take in these. I think there’s a good chance of something being legit here, but I am not convinced it’s 100% accurate myself.
