Star Wars Episode IX, the still-untitled last installment in the Disney’s Star Wars sequel trilogy. While some photos from the set leaked not long ago, we really don’t know much about the film. Today, Luke Skywalker himself, Mark Hamill, has teased the title of the film, while he gave fans nothing more than a “the”, it’s more than we previously had to go on. Now, this is more than likely just Hamill messing around and the official title could very well not have the word “the” in it.

As I mentioned above, besides the recent photos from the set and the casting additions of Keri Russell and Dominic Monaghan, it’s difficult to tell where the film may take viewers. I think Abrams will to some extent do a bit of course correcting, but who knows, Rey and Kylo could end up living happily ever after to have children that are both overly whiny and naturally good at everything.
I am probably the least excited for Episode IX than I have ever been for any Star Wars film. Yes, I will see it in theaters and yes I will watch it opening night, it just won’t be the same as the previous films. Hopefully, the movie will be spectacular and blow me away, I just don’t have a lot of interest in what happens to Rey and Kylo, I did at one time, but that time has passed.
