Lucasfilm has released an official trailer for Star Wars Galactic Pals. SWGP is a previously unannounced animated show. However, before you get excited, hold your horses. As you will see below, this animated show is squarely aimed at a pre-school audience and will be available on StarWarsKids.com. It’s not a Disney+ series. No, this is not like the rumored Tales of the Jedi animated show at all. Check it out if you want below. Though unless you have pre-school kids that might like this, you’re not going to be interested.

I’m sure there’s at least one fan out there currently writing a strongly aggressive social media post to tell Lucasfilm how this show has destroyed the canon and their childhood. However let’s face it, this is merely a silly kids show for very young kids. Who knows, this could be a window for kids to come into the real Star Wars stories as they mature a little more?

I’ll never watch it, as my kids are now too old for content like this. However there may be some Star Wars parents out there who find this keeps their little ones entertained.

I therefore am in two minds, the old grumpy Star Wars fan in me despises this. However at the same time logically I know this has absolutely zero bearing on the actual canon Star Wars Universe. I despise all Star Wars LEGO shows and films as well. However, they’re not canon so I don’t care, I just don’t ever watch them. Disney going to Disney after all.
