The Ultimate Summer Movie Showdown over at RottenTomatoes had an upset of galactic proportions. Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith defeated the highest-grossing film of all time, Avengers: Endgame. It wasn’t even close. Avengers: Endgame garnered just 19% of the vote. A defeat of this magnitude surely extracted a heavy toll from the Marvel film.
The poll had over 500,000 votes, seriously, go look if you don’t believe me. Scrolling through some of the other results, it appears Revenge of the Sith‘s victory over Endgame isn’t an isolated incident.
Star Wars saga films are crushing the Marvel Cinematic Universe films. The Empire Strikes Back taking in 80% of 180,000 votes against Captain America: Civil War. And Return of the Jedi 73%-27% victory over Iron Man which had similar voter turnout.

At least at the time I was writing this article, voting for Round 4 is still open. The remaining films match up as follows:
Raiders of the Lost Ark vs. A New Hope
Back to the Future vs. The Empire Strikes Back
Finding Nemo vs Return of the Jedi
The Dark Knight Rises vs. Revenge of the Sith
